Dr. Kenneth P. Gilbert holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington and earned his medical degree at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He then did a general surgery internship and residency at the Swedish Hospital Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, followed by a plastic surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center.

Dr. Gilbert is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an active staff member at Milton Hospital, Quincy Medical Center and South Shore Hospital since 1986. He also is an Associate Professor of Surgery (Plastic), Boston University School of Medicine.
